— HOW WE TEACH · MELBOURNE, VICTORIA

Learn face to face.
Then practise.

Our training approach follows the order the work itself asks for. You look at the face, measure, decide on shape and colour, and only then pick up the tool. Every course is taught face to face in Melbourne by Olha Po, a practising cosmetic tattoo artist working professionally since 2016, in small groups with individual guidance and practical feedback.

— BEFORE THE NEEDLE

Look past the machine.
Then measure.

A common misconception is that cosmetic tattooing is mainly about learning to operate a machine and reproduce a design. The machine matters, but much of the outcome is decided before it is switched on. Faces are rarely symmetrical, skin varies from person to person, and a shape that suits one face can look heavy on another.

So our cosmetic tattoo training teaches judgement first: how to assess, how to measure, how to choose a pigment and how to explain those choices. Technique then gives that judgement a steady hand. It is the same order a tailor follows: the fitting comes before the cut.

— 01 ASSESS

Look first.

You learn to read the face and skin before anything else: the features, the existing brow or lip line, and how the skin is likely to behave. Every later decision starts here.

— 02 PROPORTION · SYMMETRY

Map the shape.

Brow mapping and lip outlining turn observation into measured guides. You practise until each placement has a reason behind it, so you can explain why a line sits where it does.

— 03 COLOUR DECISION

Choose the pigment.

Pigment selection and colour theory are taught as part of the plan, not as an afterthought. Olha’s own work in pigment selection and colour correction shapes how this is explained.

— 04 TECHNIQUE

Then mark.

Only now do you work with the tool, under supervision. Olha watches your hand, your angle and your consistency, and gives you feedback while you practise rather than afterwards.

— HOW THE ROOM WORKS

Work in a small group.
Then get feedback.

— FACE TO FACE, MELBOURNE

Practical training happens in person in Melbourne, Victoria. Our courses suit local students and people travelling from other parts of Victoria. Sessions are arranged according to course, and we talk through dates when you enquire.

— SMALL GROUPS, INDIVIDUAL FEEDBACK

Classes are kept small so Olha can watch your work closely, correct it as you go and answer questions when they come up, whether you are a complete beginner or a brow technician adding a technique.

— NO ONLINE-ONLY PRACTICAL TRAINING

We don’t offer online-only practical cosmetic tattoo training as a replacement for supervised, hands-on instruction. Practical skill needs someone beside you who can see what your hand is doing.

— TRAINING, NOT TREATMENTS

Our focus is professional cosmetic tattoo education for students, rather than treatments for clients. Not sure where you fit? See Choosing the Right Course.

— WHAT WE VALUE

Teach.
Then keep learning.

Our mission is to make professional cosmetic tattoo education practical, personalised and accessible to beginners and existing beauty professionals.

Time in class goes to doing the work, with explanation tied to what is in front of you.

— PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY
We describe our courses as they are, including what completion does and does not mean.

— INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION
Feedback is about your hand and your decisions, not a generic demonstration.

— SAFETY
Careful assessment and hygienic, considered practice come before speed.

— CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT
A course is a starting point. Confidence comes from continued practice after it.

— YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Our courses are not university degrees or nationally recognised qualifications.
