— CHOOSING THE RIGHT COURSE · MELBOURNE, VICTORIA

Place yourself.
Then pick.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a beauty professional adding a new skill, this page gives you plain answers about which cosmetic tattoo course fits where you are now, and what to ask us before you enrol.

— TWO STARTING POINTS

New to cosmetic tattooing? Start with the questions below. Already working in beauty? The measurement card further down sets the comprehensive and single-area paths side by side.

— FOR

Adults starting out in cosmetic tattooing, and beauty professionals, brow technicians and beauticians who want to add or strengthen a skill.

— THIS PAGE

Plain answers to the questions prospective students most often raise, and a side-by-side look at the comprehensive and single-area paths.

— DISCUSSED WHEN YOU ENQUIRE

Fees, course duration and the next available dates. Training sessions are arranged according to course, so we talk these through with you directly.

— QUESTIONS

Name your level.
Then ask.

Choosing cosmetic tattoo training works a lot like brow mapping. You take your measurements before you commit. These answers should help you see where you fit.

— Q · BEGINNERS

Can I start with no experience?

Yes. Our cosmetic tattoo courses are designed for complete beginners as well as people already working in beauty. If you’re starting from scratch, you learn the foundations step by step: assessing the skin, mapping proportion and symmetry, then thinking about colour before you practise any technique. Tell us about your background when you enquire, and we’ll suggest a sensible starting point. You can read more in Starting Cosmetic Tattoo Training with No Experience.

— Q · FIT

Which course suits me?

It depends on where you want to go. If you’d like a broad permanent makeup (PMU) foundation, the Comprehensive Cosmetic Tattoo Course covers eyebrow, lip and eyeliner tattooing. If you already do brows, or you’d rather focus on one feature, a single-area course may suit you better: the Eyebrow Tattoo Course, Lip Tattoo Course or Eyeliner Tattoo Course. The comparison below sets out the difference.

— Q · ATTENTION

How much individual attention will I get?

Training runs face to face in Melbourne, in small groups. Olha Po gives you individual guidance and practical feedback while you work. We don’t offer online-only practical training as a replacement for supervised, hands-on instruction. More on this in Our Training Approach.

— Q · FEES · DATES · DURATION

Why aren't fees and dates listed?

Training sessions are arranged according to course, so fees, duration and the next available dates are discussed when you get in touch. That way you get accurate details for the course you’re actually considering. Send us an enquiry whenever you’re ready.

— THE MEASUREMENT CARD

Read the card.
Then decide.

Two paths, side by side, in plain English. For a longer read, see Comprehensive or Single-Area: Which Course Suits You?

— HOW TO READ IT

Each card follows the same order: what it covers, who it suits, fees and dates, then what to ask us. Read across to see the difference.

— BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Know the scope.
Then commit.

Whichever path you choose, it helps to know exactly what a course is, and what it isn’t. Our courses are practical cosmetic tattoo training. They aren’t university degrees or nationally recognised qualifications. Completing a course doesn’t guarantee employment or income, and it doesn’t give you automatic permission to perform treatments.

You remain responsible for complying with applicable laws, licensing, insurance and professional requirements wherever you plan to work. If you’re also considering the Microblading Course, Fine Line Tattoo Course or Laser Tattoo Course, note that relevant safety and regulatory obligations may apply to laser-related work.

The full details are on Course Limitations and Student Responsibilities.
